The Team

Since its inception, GM Fundraising has raised funds for a number of children's hospices and charities. From day one, founder, Gary Morton has led a strong organising team and continues to be sustained by a small group of committed individuals. The group give their time freely, absorbing their own costs and working hard to deliver events for GM Fundraising's many sponsors and supporters.
Alan Tupman
Aged 56, though he claims he looks a lot younger, Alan has a sign business based in Oldham and has recently acquired the Clough Manor Hotel and Restaurant in Denshaw, Saddleworth. His hobbies are exclusively eating and drinking, though not always in that order "I enjoy my life because I enjoy life, I have been very lucky and because of this it is a privilege to be able to help out at GMF. I find that the greater the need the greater the privilege"

Dave Broxton
Dave is 46 and married to Michelle. He has two daughters, Rosie 14 and Maddy 5. He works as the Exhibition Sales Director of Emap Maclaren Glassex/GP&T. His hobbies include, music, fishing, sailing, golf... none of which he has any time for because of work, wife and kids!

His GMF role is Golf Day organiser and general Devils advocate. Reason for involvement in GMF - badgered by Morton into becoming the latest GMF Golf Day bitch and it was all downhill from there. Also I couldn't think of a worthier cause and more deserving people than the ones at Hope House.

Debbie White
Debbie brings a strong female perspective to the team. Having lived 16 years in Canada she is now Assistant Head of Year at a high school and studying a correspondence course through Plymouth University.

Previous experiences range from administrator of a bulk oil depot in the Prairies to executive PA. "GMF is one of the most rewarding jobs of my life and made me acutely aware of how fortunate I was to have 2 healthy happy children"

Gary Morton
Gary is 48 and founded GM Fundraising back in 1996. He hails from Wolverhampton and when not watching his beloved West Bromwich Albion football team, you can find him cycling. He is married to Karen with two children, Sophie 19 and Esther 14.

"The reason for setting up GMF was to create an environment where one could have fun whilst raising much needed funds for orgainisations such as Hope House. Hence the strap line 'Putting the fun into fundraising'. The support I receive from the rest of the team and our supporters is very humbling"

"2007/8 promises to be our best ever year, with the Ride 4 Hope (R4H) concluding the fund. This we hope will be approaching £175,000."

Sarah Jones
Hope House Hospice

Sarah hails from Wrexham where she lives with her two children and an assortment of small animals. In her spare time she enjoys reading, the theatre and live music concerts, flying kites with the children and generally enjoying life. She is the Appeals Co-ordinator for Hope House and is also their representative on the GMF Team. "I support GMF with its fundraising events which achieve phenomenal amounts of money for us. GMF is our largest individual donor."

Iain McInnes
Iain is 37 and runs McInnes Communications Ltd a specialist PR agency in the glazing and construction industries. During his spare time Iain is a keen cyclist and often races in the South-West, Midlands and Wales.

He came into the GMF team when asked to contribute to the Top 2 Bottom charity bike ride and has just launched the GM Fundraising Press Office to help raise the profile of the charity and to particularly promote Ride 4 Hope. His reason for contributing: "to help make a difference to someone's life and to give a little back."
